GPC/SEC courses

There are several GPC/SEC courses:
1. Theory and practice of GPC
2. Light-scattering, Viscometry, Triple detection
3. On demand course content

There is a maximum of app 10 attendees per course
Every attendee will receive handouts, certificate of participation
Lunch and snacks are included

Method development

Setting up a successful GPC/SEC method starts with finding the right hardware/software/detectors for your application(s). Is the hardware compatible with your solvent? What answers do you expect from the analysis? This will tell you what detector(s) you will need and what software is powerful enough handling the detectors and giving the answers.
Next is finding the right sample/solvent/column combination. If you do not make the right choice you might end up with interaction phenomena and column mismatch effects.
What calibration do you need?
What concentration and injection volume do you have to take?

There will even be more topics that will result in good or bad results. So you can save a lot of time and money by asking for advice. That advice will be manufacturer independent.

GPC/SEC setup

Knowing the GPC theory and using the right methods are utmost important for successfully using a GPC/SEC instrument. But there are also practical considerations and handlings for being successful. How do I know my column are still in a good shape? What is the right sample preparation?
How do I take the right tubing and connectors?
Can I trust the result the software is showing me?
How do I know the GPC/SEC components are working well?
What components in my set-up need maintenance from time to time?

Custom software

There are several GPC software packages available. There are, however, often requests for specific tasks. Examples are typical REACH reporting demands, more insight in the uncertainty of the calculations, calibration options etc.
Besides this, there are labs, equipped with general LC software, wanting to do some GPC calculations every now and then. That would require an investment in expensive software. Besides this, often there is a steep learning curve, taking time. But is you only do GPC occasionally, then time is an important issue. Therefore we developed fastGPC, very intuitive and just a few clicks away from getting a result.

fastGPC

Often labs already are working with LC software, lacking GPC capabilities. Every now and then a GPC measurement is needed. Because of the sporadic need, there is a conflict with the investments needed, expressed in money as well as in time to get familiar with the software, which needs a steep learning curve. On top of this, if the software is not used very often, it takes time to get familiar with it again after a while.

The solution is fastGPC. It works with a central Navigator, that brings you directly to the part that you need. Every part is extremely user friendly, so there almost is no learning curve.

It can work on several chromatograms simultaneously, has an extensive calibration evaluation (showing a confidence interval, first derivative of the curve and statistics overview), can evaluate as many Area % as you want, independent baseline and integration limits, all MWD’s for all possible calibration fits in one screen so you can judge much better how well the choice of calibrates is, etc, etc. For some more pictures see Home page.
